My husband, children and I moved here to SC 2 years ago from Ohio. It was the best decision we ever made. It took us just visiting once to make up our minds. We sold everything we owned and bought a 26 acre farm here. It is completely different here. The weather especially and the people (most) are so friendly. Don't wait to move..you just regret not doing it sooner when you finally get here.
