Trying to find out and it appears maybe DHEC considers it bad.

Does anyone know if there are an specific laws about grey water recycling for lawn irrigation in South Carolina? With so many systems on septic it is an old idea that makes sense. Or not?

We may wind up in a home on septic and I hate the thought of pumping detergents into my septic tank when they can break down naturally and fertilize the soil .........................

Hi, I just wrote a blog post about South Carolina's current gray water recycling regulations. I also talk about a meeting I had with several DHEC officials where we discussed recycling gray water for drip irrigation systems.

Feel free to check it out: http://greenlinkwater.com/gray-water-recycling/gray-water-recycling-in-sc-the-present/

Question Water from sink washed dishes recyclable?

Try ing to get a definitive answer about whether or not it is permitted in SC to dump water after washing the dishes on the lawn. I think it is still considered grey water, but I am not sure.
