Ridgeland, SC
Hi, I am considering relocating from CT to Ridgeland, SC in the next few months and would like info regarding elementary schools, employment, crime and traffic. How is the schooling system? Whatever info you can throw at me, both positive & negative. While I would like to transfer within my company, this might not be possible, so does anyone recommend any companies?
Appreciate any and all feedback...thanks.

Hi Linda S,
What knid of company are you looking for? I live close to Ridgeland, SC.
I will find out what information I can for you. There are many new BEAUTIFUL housing developements going up in Jasper County. They are in the begining stages of what we hear are going to be great new schools.
University of SC also has a campus in Jasper County.
It is still a nice small town.
Let me know if I can help with anything.

Hi Stacey
Sorry for the late reply - currently I work in the insurance (healthcare) industry, not certain if I want to stick with that or start something new. Mainly I have an administrative background.
Appreciate any leads you might have. Looking @ the job market seem to point me 30 miles away to either Savannah or Beaufort and I am uncertain how traffic plays into that.
Thanks.

I have family in Ridgeland (my sister is an attorney there) and I grew up in Beaufort. Do you still need info and or job leads?

Aloha,
Just moved to Seabrook and think husband will be employed in Estill. Beaufort would be my first choice for living but Ridgeland seems like a nice little community. We don't want anything gated or condos. Prefer a 'walking community'. Does this fit Ridgeland? What would the commute to Estill be like for my husband. AND what are potential employers around Ridgeland for me? I have a master's in human resources but interested in many things. I'm 50 so prefer no heavy physical work. I would love to hear about housing and job opportunities.
I know it is a lot of questions and appreciate any answers.
Thank you,
Beth

If you have school age children, I'd recommend looking in Beaufort county. Jasper county has some of the worst schools in the state - check out great schools.net. If you are set on Ridgeland, I'd suggest Thomas Heyward Academy. It's the best option for private schools.
