Try this site www.carolinaliving.com they have a link to taxes for both north and south carolina...concentrates on the larger cities/retirement spots...but it's a start...

That also makes them among the best places to retire. Private schooling is the standard workaround since SC public schools are bad.

It depends on the value of the home. What would you consider to be reasonable?
