I live in Bluffton, about 20 minutes south of Beaufort. I have not heard of any gang related violence there. I can get the information for you and let you know. (The county Sherriff lives a couple of houses down from me.)I can ask for some statistics for you. Anything else?

Beaufort is mostly divided between retirees with money and disadvantaged locals. Beaufort is ranked as having the 7th highest crime rate in the state of SC. I don't know about gangs, there is a lot of poverty in and around Beaufort so anything is possible.

Please reread the responses you have gotten in the past about Beaufort. This has been answered for you a couple of times before.

The gangs are there, just the locals do not see the signs and symbols.
The gangs are everywhere, if you know.

Yes, there is gang activity in Beaufort, SC. I recall the reports of gang-related graffiti that police washed off of abandoned buildings not too long ago. Gang activity reportedly increases during some of the festivals in downtown Beaufort. There are police reports in the local newspapers (The Beaufort Gazette, The Island Packet and Bluffton Today) that may also detail some of the criminal activity linked to gangs. However, I do not think that the gang activity in Beaufort is comparable to that found in large metro areas. I hope you can get the statistics offered earlier.

Humidity in summer is only around 95%.

Housing prices are dropping.

Foreclosures and short sales are around.
