Default Hurricane warnings in South Carolina

I am relocating from California and honing in on Aiken,SC. I was wondering if the area gets hurricane weather. Also if the winters are very cold. I currently live in the mountains of California where the winters are cold and snowy. My husband's arthritis is so much worse in the cold winters. Do they get freezing temps/snow in Aiken?

Aiken is far enough inland to lessen the effects of a hurricane. You could expect some storms and lots of rain if the remnants of one roll across Aiken. As far as winter temps go, yes you can expect some night time freezing temps, snow and ice every once in a while. I used Weather Underground for climate info when relocating. Here is a link seasonal high/low temps for Aiken: Average High/Low Temperatures for KAGS : Weather Underground
