Travel + Leisure's world's best cities - CNN.com

Woohoo!!! How about that 80 mile stretch from Charleston (#1 City in World) to Savannah (#9 City in World) with Hilton Head (#1 island on Continental US)? Heck of a stretch among those 3 cities all within an hour drive!

The only thing that scares me is how much more tourists it will bring. It's already overpopulated in the summertime.

More tourists, more money, more people that decide they need to move here and bring their talent, industry, etc.

Charleston is great and all but #1 in the world? Bahahaha. San Francisco, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore, London, Paris, Rome, New York City, etc. are all better.

Surely some of them find themselves envying us residents while they're here. Last December a car salesmen told me that he and his uncle came down from Connecticut for a vacation and went back home only to pack up and move here. That happens a lot I am sure.

Agreed. I LOVE Charleston but I'm sure Sydney (which is my bucket list city) is way better. Everyone I've talked to who have been to Australia say they don't have the words to describe that country. It's that amazing.
