Default Flip this house

I,too, love the Trademark Properties guys. I took my relatives from out of state to Charleston last month and one of the stops they wanted to see was Trademark Properties. I moved to South Carolina this year and have construction project management experience. My husband and I bought a "fixer-upper" and I will see how good a job we can do. Although ours will not be a true flip, it will be interesting to see the final results on a limited budget. I'm looking for a job, so Richard, if your reading these posts and want someone to work for you in the Orangeburg area, let me know.

I love the SC show, too. The ones I can't stand are the people that flip from Atlanta. SOooooooo boring. The big tall blond contractor from the SC crew was really funny, I hope he's on the new show. The one where they waited in the truck until 3 am drinking beer, trying to find the people who broke into the house they were renovating was hilarious.

Default Where is the rest of the crew?

I have been watching the new episodes and wonder if Ginger and Richard are a couple now? Seems like she had more of a "junior employee" relationship last year and so far this season it has been just her and Richard making decisions, working on the houses, buying the baseball team. What gives? where is everyone else?

The Real Deal is great. When they sold all those condos in one day I looked at my husband and said, "Richard has an amazing team of people working for him!" I guess he hand picks everyone who works there. He can be hard and demanding, but he expects perfection - and gets it! I love to watch his shows. My husband is a big Ginger fan. I just love the whole team and can't wait to see what they get into next. Fixing up the concession stand for his high school alma mater was truly a great thing to do. Richard's a real stand-up guy and someone I'd be proud to know.

Find me someone else who will do that. What about the time that he had two former high school students that he had coached and got them working on one of his properties? When he found out that the one kid had had to drop out of college cause he could not handle the full load of school and making a living, Richard told him to do school, he would pay for his college and all his expenses.

I like getting remodelling ideas from the Charleston Flip This House too\ - and don't like the Atlanta or Texas versions either.

I have taught 2 of Richard Davis's sons (wonderful students) and teach with Vance Sudano's wife (he's the one who sells the houses). Someone asked if Richard and Ginger are going to be a couple....no, he is very much married to a very nice woman who is a wonderful mother and who just happens to be a medical doctor!

I have owned a half dozen homes so far, all over North America. Will be moving to Charleston in a couple months and I can tell you that I would not consider a property renovated by Trademark.

You cannot carry out the renovations they do in "a couple days - ready to sell" without cutting corners and putting bandaids over serious problems. Good renovators take their time, carefully think out problems that arise, and do the right repair, not the type of repair that will keep you on schedule.

I am not, by any means, critizing the abilities of the people doing the renovation work, rather I question the time restrictions placed on them to get the job done. That decision comes from the top.

My two cents.

I just read an article on the Atlanta group from Flip this House. It appears to be a hoax in owning these houses and selling them. Here is the link:
