Default What to do if your SC income check bounces?

Some friends of mine have been getting their SC state income tax refund over the past few weeks, and when they took their check to the bank to cash it BOUNCED!! You heard it correct, the state wrote a bad check! I've never seen this before, and was wondering if anyone else was having this problem? What do you do if your income tax check bounces?

Send it to Sanford, he's the one trying to turn down the stimulus $$$, since "SC can take care of itself." Maybe when his $3.5M home on Sullivan Island sells, he'll make good on the checks he's writing. Kinda reminds me of AIG executives.....

How is that anything like the AIG executives?

Didn't Sanford buy that house in 1997? Are you saying it was bought with tax dollars?

No, I'm not saying that at all. I'm suggesting that SC's head politician, like the AIG execs, has apparently made promises SC can't keep, figuring somebody will bail 'em out. Since I'm writing a check to SCDOR rather than getting one, I only know what the OP said. We all know where I'd be if MY check bounced... It's also apparent that Sanford's economic universe is no more closely aligned with the pain being suffered by SC citizens than the relationship between AIG execs and the large group of innocent AIG ex-employees who are now standing in unemployment lines. The politicians are no different from the executives of these despised companies. They shake their heads, make clucking sympathetic sounds, then retreat back to their good life. Despite what the conservative talking heads keep saying, Sanford it NOT one of the good guys....
