Default Moving to Bluffton

Hello everyone. I am considering moving to the Bluffton area in the fall to start school at USC Beufort. I've been to HHI a few times on vacation but not the surrounding areas. I am planninig on renting. Can anyone give me any suggestions on some of the more affordable areas around there that I could look at when I visit? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks so much.

You can probably find reasonable rental rates that are significantly less than HHI or Bluffton in Hardeeville. Would be an easy commute to USC-Beaufort via US-278 as well being that the school year falls outside of the busy travel season of summer.

I assume you mean the USCB South campus? I see little point in living in Bluffton if you are going to attend the North campus (actually in Beaufort).

As for Hardeeville, I think a quick drive through the actual town would have you quickly crossing it off your list. It is a dead town, the only thing keeping it on life support is that it serves as an interstate pit stop.

I agree that it's a dead town, however, the OP requested affordable rental rates, and comparatively speaking, Hardeeville is much cheaper for a poor college student than Bluffton or HHI, and it's about the same distance to USCB South on US-278 as living in the other 2 places.

And they can always drive to the island or Savannah (which would be less than 1/2 hour from Hardeeville) if they want some entertainment choices.
