Hmmm..while I do hope you receive some responses from folks that either grew up, or are currently living in Sharon, SC...I wouldn't count on alot of them. Sharon is a rather small town. Definetly rural..yet also one of the towns that have suffered when the textile industry left this area.
If I were just reading this particular post of yours (since you say acreage is the priority) I would say go for it. But, I did read some of your past posts were you mention an easy commute to uptown Charlotte, schools, area attractions for families, and job searching tips...with those things in mind..I am not sure Sharon is the town you are looking for? But with that said...by all means...please come take a look for yourself.

The town park has recently been renovated with a new playground, sheriffs office is in the center of town, as is the fire department. You just missed the firemens fundraiser the womanless beauty pageant!! Go take a look for yourself, there are several fixer uppers in the area that could be turned into some amazing homes!
