Default Abbeville, SC

Hi, We're planning to move from Piedmont, Ca (San Francisco Bay area) back to my husband's childhood hometown of Abbeville. We have 9 year old twins, that are home schooled, (not for religious regions--we're agnostic--bit unsure how that will work out in the bible belt) and are wondering what the area is like for kids, what cultural attractions are nearby. They love the outdoors and animals, and are excited at the idea of living in a country setting. I am a little nervous, I know it will be very different from living in an urban area. Anybody out there familiar with Abbeville or have any advice for me?

I am not an expert about abbeville, but I have been there multiple times visiting my boyfriend with him being relocated there for his job. It is a very cute town. I have made many new friends down there, and what I have seen from everyone there is they are all very accepting. No one that I ever run into seems judgemental, they are all very welcoming. As far as activities, They have a fair going on in the middle of town on the square(i'm not real sure on the dates though) and they also have little things going on around town (on the square again) for christmas, carriage rides for the event, and they also have old war reinactments. For as small of a town it is, I think they do pretty well with keeping the people involved with everything. Hope you enjoy it I would move there in a heartbeat he would have been there for a while.
