McConnell vs. Sanford, Round 2
Awww...the Republicans are fighting with each other again: McConnell vs. Sanford, Round 2 - Local / Metro - The State This is why i'm a democrat. The Republican party confuses me. I can't figure out what they're for or against anymore. That party is going down the drain.

I'm neither Republican or Democrat, but nobody who supports Obama has room to criticize anyone. The guy has been in office a matter of months and he has already proven to be someone who lies and breaks promises. Are you honestly okay with that?

Not only did Glen McConnell utter a coherent sentence, but I agree with the truth (McConnell: truth. What's wrong with that relationship?) he's saying here.

You're a republicrat? Oh and I voted for Obama but also either voted or supported Lindsey Graham, Bob Inglis, and Mark Sanford when their last elections were held. Yes, i'm a democrat but I vote for the candidates I see best fit for the job. I don't look at the party as much as the experience, what they stand for, and what they've done in the past.

Saying that you also voted for Lindsey Graham isn't helping you much. He's horrible!
I don't know what a "republicrat" is, but I'm not one.

A republicrat is a republican and democrat combined. He is not horrible. He actually makes sense half of the time while Ron Paul makes sense all of the time.

That's what we who we're Democrats (not any longer for me, anyway) before Carter, etc, call a "Clinton Democrat", or a "Corporate Democrat".

Phooey. He is horrible. I'll never forgive him for going against the will of the people and voting FOR the amnesty bill when they tried to push that through last year.
He's on my list of people to vote out.
And if Ron Paul made sense all of the time, he would hve made it past the primaries, wouldnt he?

Yeah, isn't it pathetic when you have a politician who is willing to work bilaterally and who is more committed to vote for what's in the best interest of his country rather than what's in the best interest of his party.
At some point, the republican party will wake up and realize it can contribute far more with leaders like Powell and Graham, rather than with ideologues like Cheney and Limbaugh. In the meantime, the republicans will only drive this country further left, with the democratic party continuing to strengthen. Perhaps, not a bad thing considering the attitudes being exhibited by current republican leaders...

You must be talking about Lindsey Graham in your first statement.
As for Ron Paul, he is too smart for the average voter. Most people are looking for sound bytes, not rational, intelligent discussion about complex issues. Moreover, the media decided early on that McCain was their guy and that they did not like Ron Paul. In this day and age, if you don't have the media behind you (or worse, if you have the media against you), you don't have a chance.
