Default Commuting from Summerville to Columbia

Can anyone tell me if commuting from Summerville to Columbia is difficult? I know it's about a 90 min. drive, but how are traffic conditions? I'm concerned primarily with commuting during the winter snow, rather than the actual drive. We are considering on moving to SC, and hoping to live in Summerville, but we don't want to have traffic issues...(not that we're not able to drive in snow/ice!)

Or should we consider living in Summerville and having to commute to Charleston?

Thanks!!

Trust me, you don't want to make that commute. Having to deal with metro Charleston AND metro Columbia traffic on a daily basis? I'd probably shoot myself first, LOL.

Either move to metro Columbia or find a job in metro Charleston.
