I know a little about Calhoun Falls....I live in Greenwood, which is two counties over. I go through CF on my way to Athens/Atlanta the back way. It looks like a really depressed little town to me. There doesn't seem to be any industry and there was a recent announcement that the large Milliken plant in Abbeville, where I imagine most CF may work, is closing down. Now keep in mind that I only drive through one small section but it seems to be the "main street" area. Most of the buildings seem empty and there never seems to be anyone on the street. Please continue to look for someone who actually lives there to get the most accurate information. I would post on the Greenville SC Forum.....YOu may also get some info from the GA forum since CF is right on the border. Good luck!
