Is this type of racism common in Pennsylvania?

I had to laugh after reading this statement, "...parents are considering legal action against the pool."

What did the pool do to them?

FYI, there seems to be quite a bit more racial segregation in Pennsylvania, in my opinion, based on a lifetime of visits to family living there.

It's interesting that during the presidential campaign, the spotlight was on Pennsylvania concerning the race issue far, far more than on South Carolina.

Sadly, I think that this type of racism is common, in general. Luckily the media has been all over this story. And, luckily there seems to be a lot of mobilization around not only investigating this incidence, but also in making sure it does not occur again (at least not at that club). Racism does not necessarily disappear just because a spotlight is shined on it -- but, it is one of the best defenses against it.
