But each screen is not a theater. The majority of people understand a theater to be a building where movies are shown to an audience (which is the actual definition of the term), so I don't think most people understood what you meant because I surely didn't. There is a huge difference between an area having 100 theaters and one that has 100 movie screens. Thank you Greenville for pointing that out.

i wonder if opening one up would be popular here. i know it would be nice to go to the drive in . i'd like to see a 100 screen drive in. that would take up alot of land that's for sure.

Wow, thanks for that link. Didn't realize there was now a drive-in theater operating in Greenwood.

From what I can tell that makes it two drive-in theaters in SC (along with the Big Mo). Unless there is still one in operation somewhere in Beaufort County that I remember reading about once?
