Lesbian looking to relocate to South Carolina (Columbia, Chester: rich, friendly)

Hi.

I am a singer/musician looking to relocate to a city in South Carolina rich with artists and open-minded folks. Presently, I am recovering from alcohol addiction, and am seeking either a halfway house, or an area supportive of continuing recovery within the GLBT communities.

Any suggestions for me?

Suzanne, the South Carolina Gay and Lesbian Community Center is located in Columbia and there are about 2 dozen other gay and lesbian organizations here, as well.

I believe there is still an LGBT-friendly AA group that meets weekly at the Center and, if not, I will find out their info for you. They are not listed on the Center calendar, but I think that is intentional. I don't know of a halfway house, but I know that the above group would know of a lot of resources for you. Thanks Waccamatt. I'll check them out. I won't be able to get online or make phone calls until next Friday as I'm in a rehab facility in Chesterfield. But you've given me some peace of mind knowing I have a direction once I leave here.
