Default Bluffton

Hello,

My family and I are seriously thinking about relocating to Bluffton South Carolina. Any info on Bluffton would be great. I would like to know more about the job market, lifestyle, weather, people, schools ect. I have done some research, but I would really like an opinon of someone who lives there or near there. Thank you.

Kelsey

The only negative is traffic on 278.
The one road onto Hilton Head.
People live on Hilton Head, workers live "Off Island"
There is also a Rush hour on Saturday as the Weekly renters have to vacate by 10 am and the new renters arrive after the houses are cleaned
Beaufort County is the place to live in South Carolina

BIL and family live there. Homes are expensive, I know that much. They think it's paradise, personally I think it's way too touristy and overrated. There are much nicer places to live in SC in my opinion. The only beach is at Hilton Head and most of that is gated, we had to use the beach at some hotel. There seemed to be a lot of places to shop along the road going into Hilton Head(must be 278), if you're into that. It was the fastest growing county in SC at one time, not sure if it still is. BIL does not work in Bluffton, he commutes into Savannah everyday. Doesn't seem like there is much of a professional job market there, mostly tourism industry and probably medical for all the retirees. Weather, hot and humid, like every place else along the coast in SC. People and lifestyle; the people with money live on Hilton Head obviously, Bluffton has grown into a middle-class community, then you have your poverty level in and around Bluffton.
