Craft Shows
Does anyone here participate in craft shows? Anyone have advice to good ones to attend (as a vendor)? I am willing to go all over SC, so hearing from locals will definitely help me out more than just looking at a website will. Thank you for any help!

I don't participate but I love going and looking at everyone's wares.
Craftman's Classic is one you could check out.

Oh yes, that is by far my favorite one to go to look at, I go to every one! But, I am going ot have to work up to becoming a vendor at one, it is juried so you have to become an accepted member of the Craftman's Classic before being considered for any shows, and the show spots are pricey, I would love to, hopefully next year, but this one I am doing Saturday is only my second one so I need to make sure it will be worth it to put that much money in one first!

Craft Show at Sonic Drive In
I am wanting to plan a Craft Show for Venders at our Location. Our address is 109 Jones Franklin, Raleigh NC 27606. Can somebody help me set this up. I would charge a very minimal fee to the Vendor. I just want to recover cost for permits and any other fees to advertise. Please call me at 919-696-0328

In S.C. Holiday Fair in Greenville, SC is usually big.....well attended with a range of good vendors. I think it is around $125 but that is from memory and from years ago.
My grandparents used to do the Okra Strut, can't remember which town that one is in but they always said it was a good one for them (hand-made quilts, hand-made wooden items, canned goods and cakes).
Stay away from the Festival of Flowers craft show in Greenwood....it has gone downhill signifcantly from what vendors have said. It used to be good but no so much anymore. I think the Festival of Discovery in Greenwood did better than the Festival of Flowers.
Those are the only ones I've heard specific info about.
Good luck and GOOD FOR YOU! My grandparents made nice side money at the shows, enjoyed meeting the people and having a great hobby they could enjoy together.

Thank you so much! I am going to start a list of shows to avoid and shows that people recommend, I will never remember all these on my own! LOL I did the Summerfest in York this Saturday, it was lots of fun but not too terribly profitable. That is only because I spent too much money preparing for it though, but I bought my tent, table, etc.. so at least now for every other show I have everything I need and can just worry about making the actual stuff to sell at them! I am willing to travel to NC and GA, but from looking around online it seems the prices are very high, I guess they just seem high to me since our cost of living here is so much lower.

There used to be a book listing all of the craft shows by region, costs, and which ones were juried. I can't remember the name of it but if you search on-line maybe you can find a used copy and go from there. See which ones interest you and then go on-line for that city/area and ask more questions. Good luck!

I have found several lists online but none of them have all the same shows on them, which is why I thought I would ask here, there may be small local shows that aren't even listed that I would be interested in doing!
