Question Wanting to move to SC

My husband and I are moving with our 2 boys to SC in the next year or so. We are still looking and finding where the best place will be for us. My sister lives in N. Augusta and is a major reason for our move along with lower cost of living ( we are in Florida now...near cocoa beach).

I was wondering if anyone knows how simpsonville or lexington areas are. Does it snow..how are the schools? We are wanting all 4 seasons.. and a little snow would be GREAT!

Any information would be great.

Thanks

Simpsonville would be your best bet on annual snow, although it does not usually amount to much accumulation (though it occasionally can). You would be very happy raising a family in Simpsonville. Schools are great, shopping, dining, and entertainment is readily available, and you have all 4 seasons to enjoy. Downtown Greenville is a rare treasure that you would most likely take full advantage of for multicultural enrichment and the awesome outdoor activities in the foothills and mountains just north of the city are full of exciting adventures, waterfalls, trout streams, camping sites, trails, and scenic vistas awaiting your discovery. There are large deep water lakes nearby to the northwest that are perfect places to enjoy hot summer days, but in Simpsonville itself, the Upstate's only waterpark (Discovery Island Water Park) is always ready to offer cool relief throughout the warmer months. One of the Southeast's largest balloon festivals (Freedom Weekend Aloft) is annually held in Simpsonville at Heritage Park.

I totally agree with Skyliner! Simpsonville has really grown over the past 5 years, adding lots of new shopping and dining. I suggest checking it out.

As for Lexington and Lexington County, I think this special section from The State newspaper should give you all of the information you need.
