Speeding Ticket - Fairfax, SC (Estill, Gaston: post office, money, area)

Recently got a speeding ticket - 44/30. $185 bond. It states "you are summoned to appear before the trial officer" - but the address is a Post Office Box. Didn't notice this when I received the ticket. My question, is anyone familiar with this area of the state and speeding tickets? Do I have any chance of getting the amount lowered or points lowered? It doesn't state on the ticket (that I see) how many points I'll get, but I'm assuming it's 4.

Yes, that is a 4 point violation. I do not have any experience with that area of the state, however, I always think it is worth a try to ask for a reduction... providing your driving record is clean.

All those little towns from Estill to Gaston depend on speeding ticket money to pay town bills. I wouldn't hold my breath on expecting the amount to be lowered. Always keep it slow on Hwy 321.
