Default car sale Tax
I live in Georgia State. If I go to South Carolina to buy a new car, which state sale tax I have to pay? How do I get to pay SC car sale Tax, beside move to SC to live. Thanks.

I don't think you will have to pay a sales tax if you buying from another state.... if you do it will only be a max of $500. Then you will have to pay the rest to Ga, I guess when you register the car.

The South Carolina sales tax cap is $300.00.
