want to help those in pine ridge south dakota
Hi..i visited pine ridge with some friends a year ago and have wanted to help the people there. i am a clinical substance abuse counselor with 8 years experience...does anyone know who i can contact? i have no idea how to go about this, but it hasn't left me and has gotten stronger...appreciate any help someone can give.

You may want to contact Sioux San Indaian Health Services in Rapid City. It is a hospital and clinic specifically for Native Americans. They will certainly point you in the right direction.

Some of these people go to Pine Ridge and know people there. I suggest you contact Carol Binnington she will be gone for 3 weeks, but she may be able to help you. I believe she is a MD. She and others have a number of contacts there. You can get her information under the link of ONE Spirit and then leadership.
The other links also has alot of information about it and you can also read old newsletters.

just wanted to say thanks to uncle harley and all who have replied,just lost all to a fire ,and looks like insurance will not pay,so I have to make new plans and will ,it looks like,put me on hold a "minute".
no problem,ive been fighting the father of lies all my life,he can't win he might as well give up,ive already made up my mind ,thats the 3rd home ive lost to fire,and ive came to realize that worldly possessions are just temporary things,I must concentrate on the everlasting,after all, you know, we are spiritual beings having a short human experience,not the other way around.
So I say may GOD bless you all,anyone that cares to talk its skyz4u2002 at the big yahoo ,once again ,I need a friend

Spiritman, you have such a wonderful outlook on life. I'm SO sorry to hear that you just lost everything in a fire.  I'm also sorry to hear about the problems with the insurance company.

Where you able to contact that mission in Oglala? What where the results?
