Last time I checked, South Dakota has the lowest unemployment in the nation. Many people have said, "If you are looking for a job, you should head to SD."

Are there really a lot of jobs to choose from in SD? Would it be relatively easy to move there and within I say, two months or less, have a job lined up?

I am curious what some residents think about the job market in SD and I am also curious what some people, who packed their bags and moved there, think about the job market? Is it everything you expected?

I thought North Dakota was the lowest - not sure though - it seemed like 3 years ago a person was interviewing the employer as much as the employer was interviewing the prospect - now the competition is tougher and the employer is in the drivers seat. Some industries are business as usual but the reality is the national woes have trickled in to even the most rural areas - Definitely not the doom and gloom of much of the nation though.
