Some of my handy work is in the cemetery on the south east side of town. Next time I take a trip east I need to go 34 and spend some time poking around.

I'll see if I can get there, one day, next week! (Weather permitting!) I'll be spending a lot of time, in Springs, for awhile.
ETA: these images were taken today. It's amazing how many flower beds, are still so vivid, this late, in October!

l in 1989, The Shakespeare Garden Society of Wessington Springs, a not-for-profit corporation, was established to purchase, restore, maintain and improve the Shakespeare Garden and Anne Hathaway Cottage, a project begun in 1927 by husband and wife professors at Wessington Springs Seminary. Funds obtained from membership dues, donations, grants and various events continue to finance the work of the Society, along with countless hours of volunteer labor. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Anne Hathaway Cottage is the only thatched roof building in South Dakota and the Shakespeare Garden are the state's oldest.
The Cottage and Garden are the site of teas, tours, Maypole Dance, one-act plays, Christmas event, and even weddings. The Garden is open during daylight hours. Cottage open during summer months.
