Even the weather is diverse. You will find extremes, sometimes on a day to day basis.

I have to apologize for the two that seem to wonder around aimlessly. One's twine is wrapped too tight and the others JD is running rich.

Eastern South Dakota can be a challenge in the winter, but it's nothing to keep you away. You can get used to it in a very short time. Wear layers, gloves and a hat. Keep your feet warm and dry and the winter won't be a factor unless you get a real snowstorm or extreme cold. Then nobody goes anywhere and it's time to set by the fire and drink hot chocolate.

hey now, my JD is running just like it should and I know how to set the tension on my bailer as for wandering around aimlessly I learn how to do that after visiting WY
BOT: even though the Elkhunter has been in them Bighorns a long time , he is right, when it gets really cold-30-40 below zero you learn to stay home and sit by the potbelly with whatever kind of toddy you prefer

Oh yeah! South Dakota is a great place, a pretty place, and I have never felt too unsafe anywhere here. I want to move to the west, though, because the winters on the east have just been too harsh. Funny what a 5 hour drive west can change

A USD graduate attending grad school at SDSU? I didn't think that was possible. Usually it's the other way around. You should cruise through that program.
