Cabela's and all the other retail out that a way are coming along pretty quickly. There's new roads out there and they were planting trees when I drove by yesterday. It's kinda neat to hear that a New Yorker pays attention to a Cabela's in Rapid City!!!

JLP, I just drove out that way today and workers were putting signs up for the businesses. Rushmore Crossing is for sure getting a Target, Linens N' Things, and a TJ Maxx. Furniture Row and Cabela's are coming along quickly too.

Thank you for the pictures. We have driven by, for many years, but have never stopped. A few years ago, the owners were asked to start making repairs......looks like they still have some area's that could use ''touching up''........

Neat pics Deadwood. I noticed from the chart that the only decade where South Dakota lost population was during the 1930s. I wonder if it has to do with the Dust Bowl.

Yea, it said that on the sign outside that particular building...It lost like 50,000 because of the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl.....Apparently no one wants to live in a desert of dust? go figure :P
