Yes we did, it was one of many highlights of our trip. Basically the only time we had in SD that the weather co-operated with us. Couldn't see the Monument from the highway on our way past to Hot Springs in the AM. At 12:55 we went past again (free parking for VolksMarchers) and pulled in just as the sun came out. By the time we got off the top and looked back from the bottom, the Monument was being enshrouded in clouds and mist again.

Excellent picture. I love that little lake. Dad and I had a couple of boating adventures there. 12' Jon boat and an outboard motor that would have been a far better boat anchor.

It was great 12 years old and rowing us back to the boat ramp. And we didn't catch much in the way of fish either. But boy howdy we had a great time.
