Plus some fairly decent bands hit up the swiftel center in brookings from time to time if you like Hard rock. Brookings has the largest university in the state.

Bars are everywhere in the cold states. Wisconsin has even more of them. You'd probably like the Madison, WI area more then anywhere in this area. Lots of culture there, clubs, etc. Big party city.
thank 4 the info i actually looked at WI but the milwaukee area dnt get me wrong i luv my boston sports teams jus tired the area...

Sioux Falls has plenty of bars and nightclubs, colleges, and tech school.
The best info on school would be found by googling for University Center, University of Sioux Falls, NAU, Augustana, STI, since you didn't say what field you're interested in.

There's an events calendar for things to do besides just bars Welcome to Sioux FallsEvents.com and Events Calendar

You are also only an hour's drive from Sioux City, and 3 hours from Omaha which has lots of stuff happening.
thank you for the info the cold doesn't bother me none i prefer it lol. i cnt stand the heat
