OH, you're in the right town for sports. Did you ever hear of Mike Mller? Well, this is where he's from.
Mitchell is a REALLY fanatic town for sports. Basketball is king here. They also have football, tennis, wrestling, swimming, volleyball, gymnastics, etc.
We have three grade schools and it depends on where you live as to which one your children will go to, but of course, you can always go to the school board and request to go to the one of your chosing.
We have one middle school and one high school. We also have a vocational school and a private college.
The basketball teams are usually VERY good. Coach Munsen lead the boys to many championships. I can't tell you the exact number of consecutive years the Kernels were champions, but it's quite a span.
I hope things work out for you cause it keeps sounding more and more like Mitchell will be a perfect fit for you and your family. Not sure exactly what you'll find on the internet, but you may try "Mitchell Kernels" to see what comes up.

Mitchell High School
Boys Basketball The last one is an old one, but you may enjoy seeing it.

Yea, like I said before, basketball is number one here. They do have football, too though. I actually don't follow sports, but I don't think that the school district actually has any softball or baseball teams here. Not sure if that's what you meant or not. But every time we drive past the baseball diamond in the summertime, there are always teams playing. We have one over at Hitchcock Park and another bigger diamond at a park in the area of Middle School. I'm sure Mitchell will be glad to have your children here since they're athletic.

Yup, you and your family will definitely fit right in here. We'll definitely have to get together for some hot cocoa.

Mitchell Youth Sports - Baseball and Softball, particularly
There are a host of programs all summer long sponsored by the City Parks & Recreation Department. Youth baseball and softball, tennis, golf, etc. There is a well-developed independent youth baseball program as well. Legion baseball thrives. There's inter-city league play for "grown ups" and the state baseball tournament is often held at Cadwell Park. There are softball tournaments about every other weekend it seems. So have your kids bring their bats goves, they'll have plenty to do!

Michelle, did we discuss employment in a DM? Did I ever send you a detailed list of employers with their phone numbers? For some reason I'm thinking we touched on that, but now I'm thinking it may have been someone else. LOL
Is there any way that we can help you with phone numbers or suggestions? You can either post or use Direct message and we'll try to figure something out.
