Miller, SD
I grew up in Miller, SD. Graduated from High School in 1955, went to the Navy and came back to South Dakota in 1976.
I know quite a few people still living in Miller. Plus I know of several people there that are into Local History and people. If your still interested, let me know.

I actually live in Sheridan. However, I camp and do all my elk hunting in Freeze Out Point.
Miller. You know some folks? My relatives are Gortmakers, Beaners, Mitchells, etc. That's about 80% of the town. haha

Elk Hunter,
I know of a couple of people from the Miller area. One was an older lady who grew up near Polo and her husband farmed in the area. Another was a high school teacher who grew up there but lives in the Sioux Falls area.
Are you familiar with the Wernsmanns and the Kluthes in the Miller area?
There is a person from college who was from Miller. I can remember who he was, but I draw a blank on the name.

The Kluthes are a familiar name. Can't say as I know any, but the name is familiar.
We had a family reunion there a few years back. All said and done and figured out I had 72 cousins or second cousins that lived inside city limits of Miller.

Kenny Wernsman's lived in Miller back in the 50's when I was there. Yup, I know most of the name's, i.e., Gortmakers, etc.... Casey & Lu Schultz are good friends of mine. Bobby Hanks, Hochhalters are related by marriage. My sister is married to Wayne. Fulton's, Wedel's, Halbig's, Roger's, these are probably all before your time.

Oh I dunno. I was born in the Hand County Hospital in 1953. My mother was a nurse there.
