Appreciate comments on why Eureka SD would be a nice place to retire to. I am from northern MN so don't use snow and cold to discourage me.

German food & culture. Easy access to the North Dakota border and to Bowdle. No rush hour traffic. No traffic lights. Only about 30 miles from the Missouri River if you're into fishing and boating. Lots of wide open spaces if you're a hunter. It's not on a reservation.

That's about all I can think of.

Probably lower taxes than MN. That can change of course.
