I've flown out to South Dakota from Florida (similar distance from Atlanta I suppose) probably 4 or 5 times over the years. Oddly enough, depending on what time of year and whether I was renting a car or not, it went either way but I mostly flew to Sioux Falls. Sometimes the flights were close, BUT the car rental in Rapid was hundreds more for the same duration/dates. It actually ended up being cheaper to fly to Sioux Falls and drive to Rapid (about 300 miles one way).
Now with Gas at $3.50 or so, that may not be the case so my suggestion would be, check both flights and car rentals. Rent as economical a car as you can stand to travel in if money is a concern. I will say that the drive across the state is beautiful and peaceful. There are a lot of cool things to see along the way. Crossing the Missouri River is amazing. If you go in the spring and happen to catch a field of Sun Flowers all facing the same way just before Sunset, you won't believe how beautiful that is. Then there is the bad lands, Wall Drug, and the usual road side stops. I LOVE to stop in Murdo and go to the Pioneer Auto Museaum (I just like old things and technology). There are two little places to eat there in Murdo that are like a blast from the past. If you've never eaten walleye fish, try it, I bet you will love it.
Have a great, safe trip!
Adam

Can't give you advice for flying from Atlanta, but a buddy of mine got a roundtrip ticket from Rapid City to Las Vegas and it was only $35. I think I found my next cheap vacation!

Danny, he must've gone on the airline that started up here a few years ago? I've noticed they have super cheap rates to Vegas. Their Fl. and Az. packages aren't cheap though. Just be cautious cause they add on for EVERYTHING. Everyone says that you have to see Vegas at least once in a lifetime so that'd be a good choice.
Now this really shocks me. I really thought the trip to Sx. Falls would be much less then to RC. Anyway, these are the results for the flight leaving May 1st and returning May 8th.
Atlanta to Sx. Falls~$549
Atlanta to RC~$352
I also checked with a compact car and roundtrip flights. It's kind of a wash. LOL A car in RC would be $351.22 and a car in Sx. FAlls would be $236.76.
I have no idea how long you planned on staying or how many passengers or anything like that so I'm sure the prices can vary. Just a rough estimate.
The gas price in my area is $3.20 per gallon for Super Unleaded. It might be higher out in the Hills area because it generally is during the summertime, but Danny would know for sure about that.

Super Unleaded is $3.59 in Rapid City today. The news was going on about how it will probably get up to $4.00 by the summer tourist season.
Anyone wanna buy an SUV? Please?

Last I have checked, Super Unleaded in Sioux Falls was $3.19 and regular a good 10 to 12 cents more. West River seems like it is more expensive in general than southeastern Sioux Falls. Gas generally is the cheapest in Vermillion/Elk Point/N. Sioux City areas and gets even cheaper normally when one goes to Iowa and Missouri (especially).

So what is a great company to get hired on with in Sioux Falls, like I have stated I have 13 years Customer Service Experience with 4 years managment and I also have a degree in Computer Information Systems. I need to look soon since my lease is almost up and I would like to get a interview and fly up there and get the job so I move up there.

You should not have a problem finding a customer service or information systems job in Sioux Falls. The unemployment rate is at around 3%, which is a lot lower than other places around the country.
Precision Computer Systems is a good one to check. I heard of them due to them being a computer systems provider for banks.
Other places to check would be Wells Fargo, Citibank, First Premier Bankcard, Meta Card, and other credit card places. The big places always can use customer service people and information systems people.
The hospitals, Avera McKennan and Sanford, are growing and with their big infrastructure are other good places to look for information systems jobs.
Midcontinent Communications is a regional cable/internet company that is based in Sioux Falls and would have customer service positions. Also check out Knology, they have a service center in Sioux Falls.
Check their websites and in their employment/HR section. Your experience and college degree should help.

Your two biggest issue might be lack of social life and lack of enough job opportunities. Unless you have a very in demand specialized skill or want to work for $10 an hour in a call center your going to have very limited job options and that is in Sioux Falls.
People who have sought after health care skills can get better than average jobs but they also have only 3 options for employment in the city.
If your after a big social life your not going to find as much as your used to. Outside of Sioux Falls or maybe Rapid don't expect to have a social life.

blackpointyboots, I beg to differ. You don't have to live an urban area to have a social life.
The job market is Sioux Falls is strong. You don't necessarily have to work in a call center environment.
Healthcare is a big part of the job market in Sioux Falls... Sanford and Avera are always building and adding jobs.
