Default Interested in land

In order to purchase somewhere between 2 to 10 acres in Rapid City area, can anyone tell me the best area to look? I would want the land to be high and dry. If there was a home already on the property that would be even better. How much can one expect to pay per acre in the surrounding area.

High and dry...
Do you mean in the forest? There are lots of possibilities for land in Rapid City. We have forest, prairie, canyons/ravines, wetlands...
Also, which area? North of town, south.... Just be a little bit more specific.

I do not want to be very far from city if possible. I guess I would want good snow removal when necessary. Do not really know the areas that well.

I would check out areas south of Rapid City. IMO it is the best place to look at because you are close to the woods, you can have horses, great views, and Rapid City is only a few minutes away. Look at places along the Heartland Expressway (Hwy 79). The land that is immediately out of town is probably set up for small parcels (housing developments), but a few miles out you can have acreages. I especially recommend the Hart Ranch area.
