Yes, he did. I watched it on tv (cause I had wanted to go), and the crowd was all excited until he said something like, "Hello Sioux City!" Then they were quiet and finally he realized that he was in Sx. Falls. It was a pretty bad start, but he really turned it around well. He apologized and said he must've spent too much time in Iowa. He handled it well and went right on with his speech.

I was really impressed with how respectfully he treated the person with the "Hillary" sign. It says a lot about someone who can be respectful toward someone who was actually being a bit tacky. I don't think I'd be cruel enough to go to a place where Hillary was speaking and hold up an "Obama" sign. That wouldn't be very nice.

Obama will be coming to Rapid City on Saturday. KOTA News mentioned that he would be in Rapid City this weekend but they have yet to release the time or location. I'll keep watch!

I'm surprised at how often the Clintons have been in SD...it seems like a daily thing now! Hillary actually made a surprise stop at a diner in Madison today.

a lot of elections are rigged. i think perhaps someone like ron paul might be best, but i am not campaigning for anyone. actually, id love to have a try myself at the presidency, i think id do a good job. anyway, i heard and saw hilliary on tv a while back and she was in background laughing and talking to someone, camera volume up, and she said " I just LOVE one world government" ive spent years of research and study and seems this world is headed that way,no matter what. where's the nearest earth-like planet with peace and quiet? anyone want to make the trip with me? giggle. giggle.

Well, my dream came true today. Another funny story: I had really crappy seats at the Obama meeting in Rapid City, so some of my friends and I decided to sneak down in VIP to get better pictures of Obama. After his speech I got to shake his hand and I got some pretty impressive pics.

Then my friends and I decided to go downtown to get a bite. Obama just happened to be eating at the Firehouse and what do you know... I shook his hand again! Best day ever!!!

Kissing babies and shaking hands!

Of course I got the Obama Rap Remix CD!

Obama fans in their apartments across the street!

Danny, that is so wonderful!!! Thank you for posting the pics. I'm personally an "Obama fan", but no matter who your candidate is, it's exciting that our state and Montana are finally somewhat important. It doesn't sound like the numbers could truly change, but our vote may sway a few Super-Delegates. Who knows? Statistically, he should not be the candidate of my choice and maybe that applies to a few others here. I'm a white, blue-collar, lower middle class female and I'm in the group who should have a different preference.

I'm so glad you posted those pics. One of the things I noticed is the fact that he IS wearing an American flag on his jacket. HMMMM, that kind of debunks some of the propoganda.

Pejuta, you know~I really like the policies of Ron Paul, too. He makes a lot of sense. The problem that I personally have is the fact that he just doesn't seem to be able to bring those things out in speeches or in debates. I've always felt we need a strong Prez and Ron Paul doesn't seem to fit that criteria. But like I said, he does have some very good plans and thoughts.

Its fun to have big politicians in SD. I remember when RFK was in SD (ok I was only 5) but I remember shaking his hand. These larger than life people swallow up our little lives here on the prairie. Being such strong personalities (doesn't hurt to have tons of support) they are swaying masses just with their presence.
