That's a good question. Right now we have no plans. We do want to catch a few of the good old rock n roll concerts they usually have around in the summertime. The casino at Flandreau usually has a couple of good ones. The casino in Wagner usually has at least one good one. In Mitchell, they generally have a couple of them, too. Maybe the State Fair or the Sioux Empire Fair will have good golden oldies concert.
We'd love to go to the Fourth of July celebration at Rushmore since we've actually never been there for that and it's something we've always wanted to do.
We generally go out of state in the autumn. It looks like we may be stuck with airline tickets that only go to Nev., Az., or Fla. If we could somehow transfer them to a different company, we'd probably go to the Texas Gulf Coast. Going back to Ok. would also be something we'd like to do. It just seems that vacation packages have gotten to be so expensive, but driving may be a bit spendy, too.
What are your vacation plans, MJ?

I don't have anything special planned...I'll probably make it out to the Sioux Empire Fair once or twice with some friends. Not much of a vacation...I could walk a few blocks and I'm there!
In early August, I'm going down to Omaha to visit some friends...
This is the first summer in a while where I don't have some sort of family reunion to attend.
Speaking of autumn, I hope I can make it up to Sica Hollow State Park when the leaves change...it's gets really pretty up there.

Oh no, Debey~not invited??? And yet you love him.
Sica Hollow is very pretty. It's such a peaceful place.
Unfortunately, gas just went up another dime today and it's starting to get expensive to wander around.

Staying in good ol' South Dakota and fairly close to home! Going to make use of our outstanding state campgrounds on several weekends. Also going to spend a week in a cabin at Camp Lakodia on Lake Herman near Madison. Looks like a nice place from the website. But the number one question is can anyone tell me some attractions around Madison that are worth seeing? Good places to eat? Not familiar with Madison at all. I've checked out the Madison website, but would like some first hand information.

I have two weeks of vacation and planning to use the rebate and a bonus. I am planning to head to Cheyenne/Denver/Colorado Springs/Kansas/Omaha on one round next week to visit relatives in Wyoming and Colorado and a couple friends in the process. The second week, I plan go with my family to visit an uncle in Las Vegas and hit New Mexico and Colorado on the way back. We will pick up my brother to come back to SD and get his second vehicle.
Other than that, I may make a trip or two to the Twin Cites to see a Twins game and to visit some college buddies up there. Maybe a side trip of one hour here and there (Vermillion, Mitchell, Sioux City, for example). I have not been making as many of them as I did in the past year to save up for the upcoming trips. With the weather being nicer.
I would like to make another trip to Colorado this autumn, but I would fly there and may fly from Omaha if it significantly cheaper than Sioux Falls. I checked air fares in the past month or so and think that plane tickets from SF to Denver are nuts and is leading me to consider Omaha, due to more competitive prices (Why pay $500 for a plane ticket in SF if one can get one in Omaha for half the prices-even with the gas getting down there, it would be a savings).

Well, I plan on using the Black Hills' recreation to my full advantage, but then I am planning a couple trips to Denver and a trip to Portland and SanFran. It's still in the works though, so no promises yet. My friend's family just built a huge house on the water in Marco Island, Florida so I hope to make it down there too!

I know Marco Island pretty well. I worked on a few nice homes there about 4 years ago. It's beautiful there. At the time, there weren't too many buildable lots left in some of the more developed areas and the word was that every time a lot sold, the remaining lots went up in price $10,000 as they were running out...
It's nice, but I can't justify that kind of crazy price appreciation. That's what killed the housing market!
