Just a tip for you out there when making payments on anything!

I made a truck payment in April 2008, and never paid
attention to the receipt. A procedure I am going to watch more closely now.
The clerk transposed the last two cent digits by mistake. Instead of .21, she put .12. A difference of only 8 cents.
I now get a notice from wherever the home office is, back East somewhere, that I am in arrears by 8 cents, so that now costs a late fee of $30.00, so I should just add the $30 + .08 to my next payment.
I was outraged! I went to my bank and presented the problem. They realized they made the mistake and put in paperwork that the late fee would be dismissed. All is back in order now, but it was a problem that I should not have had to deal with in the first place. Look at your receipts you get back!
It could save you unnessesary hassle. Now that I have “vented”, I wish you all a good day. Will be off the board for a week, flying to Seattle this afternoon for our daughters wedding. Talk at ya when I get back.

Here's another one~a couple months ago we had bought a vacation package through a company we have never used before. EWWWW, never again!!! Anyway, our last credit card bill had a $12 charge that we weren't sure about. We called the CC company and then the place that charged us the extra. The CC company said there was already another $12 charge to our card from that same company. The company did agree to let us out of our "membership" and refund our money. Our CC company said they'd be hesitant because many places just keep charging, so we cancelled out our credit card and were issued a new one with a new number. Well, my internet provider wasn't happy even though I had contacted them because they couldn't bill us. BUT they were very nice about it. We discovered that the airline/package company had given our info to a company that offers vacation "specials", but there is a monthly fee. HMMMMMM, pretty shady there.
