Lanegirl is on a distinguished road
Default Internet providers

To some this may seem trivial but my son and I are avid online gamers. We will be moving to the RC area next month and I was wondering what kind of internet is available.

We are thinking of buying 1/2 acre in the hills and putting a mobile on it. So we would be a little ways out. Anyone know what our options would be for providers?

We currently live in FL and had to get WildBlue satellite and I would rather slit my wrists than go with that ever again. Worst service i have ever experienced.

I would be happy with DSL but I learned the hard way that not even that is available every where.

Any input would be helpful. Thank you.

Rapid City and Black Hills towns have excelebnt srvice through Knology or Midcontinent Communications. I guess it just depends how deep into the mountains you plan on going.

Wild Blue isn't the worst provider, satelite type internet but better than what Dish or Direct have to offer.
