Question...
Does good Mexican food exist in Sioux Falls ?? I've been to Chevy's, La Fiesta, and some other place that doesn't come to mind and the one word that DOES come to mind is:
HOT GARBAGE !!!
I guess living in San Antonio for all those years has spoiled me...

Many of the good Mexican places in Sioux Falls are independently run places run by Mexicans themselves as opposed to the chain restaurants. I would not go to Chevy's or a chain place for ethnic food such as Mexican. I have heard that Inca is good (near the Western Mall on Holly and 41st), Puerto Vallarta is also good, and Los Grasioles (or spelled similar) is another decent Mexican eating place. Sioux Falls has decent Mexican restaurants but cannot compre to the ones in Kansas and Oklahoma from my experiences.

Sorry Mark. Mexican food up here won't even compare to Mexican food in Texas. There are a few good Mexican-owned restaurants here in Rapid City, but the further south you go the better it gets. Even Kearney, NE has amazing Mexican restaurants.

Yep, I think it was La Fiesta, but at some point during the meal there was a really bad smell and when I asked, I was told it was something they were making. I would have hated to be the person eating whatever was being cooked because the only thing I could think of was baked skunk butt... I was THAT bad !!! We left shortly thereafter...

They don't have Taco John's in CA? I wonder if they're out east. Are there any in Sioux Falls? Rapid City has 4 of them and a 5th in the Rushmore Mall. I love Potato Oles!!!

The Closest TJ's is in NV, and there is only 3 in that whole state. When I used to drive back to SD, I could catch a TJ's in Reno, (there is none in Utah) and then I'd have to wait until I got to Evanston WY, (but now that one is closed) so now I have to wait until I get top Green River WY.
Heres a map of their locations Danny: Taco Johns locations

That's funny that there are no Taco John's in CA. At least you guys have Trader Joe's. I'd kill to have a Trader Joe's in Rapid City!

Sioux Falls has 7 or 8 of them I think... They're all over.
There aren't any Taco Johns in the Northeast. I know someone in Pennsylvania who HAS to stop at Taco John's every time she comes to town!
