Are we talking about the same place? CD says there are "zero" registered sex offenders in Rapid Valley. If that has changed, would you provide us with a link to your info please?

I have found another link that shows sex offenders living in the zip code, but haven't been able to spot any of them in trailer courts.

There really aren't that many trailer parks in Rapid Valley. It's mostly newer mid-size homes and developments. The only ones I can think of are on South Valley Road and by the Race Tracks. Most sex offenders in Rapid City live on the northside above Omaha Street.

Ashnat, are you trying to prove that it is better to live in Rapid City than in Spearfish? And I can't believe Spearfish's unemployment rate: 17%!!!

I have heard from a person who grew up there that good jobs are tough to come by and many people are underemployed. There is not much for an employment base. It does not surprise me and there is not a great deal of industry or major employers with the exception for First Premier Bancard and Black Hills State University. There are a lot of college students and a large labor pool for a certain amount of jobs, which depresses wages (similar issue in Vermillion-many have to go to Sioux Falls, Sioux City, or Yankton for additional or better employment opportunities). That may change when the lab at Homestake gets up and going and side industries pop up, which could help strengthen the employement opportunites and base for good job in the Spearfish area along with other areas in the Black Hills region.

First I NEVER said anything about free meal kids equalling crime.
Now now. We ALL know that a neighborhood with a school with lots of free meal kids, has older lower income homes with less amenities. You won't find too many homes with attached double garages or central air conditioning.

shows the sex offenders
That site you looked at is WRONG
There are 22 just in the Valley, which has a population of around 10,000 with all the new homes.
