No I'm not trying to prove either way. Just showing comparisons

There are trailers all over Rapid Valley. They aren't always in "parks". That's what I dislike about the community. You can find a 60's run down single wide trailer next door to a 200,000 home.
In the Valley there are several trailer parks along Omaha St all the way to the airport, on School Dr, off of many of the side streets from Twilight Dr, several all along Covington near the Elem school, ALL OVER Plateau and Reservior (where the planet streets are). They're all over!

That's good. When I moved to the area 5 years ago they couldn't.

My neighbor and a friend both homeschool. There is a community of homeschoolers that get's together once a week at different places for science or history lessons. My neighbor is less involved in it now as she has 4 kids and it's hard to keep up, but she's made very good friends thru it.

Ok, so if you were offended by my free meals comment about the north side, I think this map shows why NOT to live there. All the red dots are sex offenders.

Like ashnat said, avoid the North side of Rapid if at all possible. Except to shop, there are many chain stores around the mall area. That is also where many of the Native American peoples live. And they tend to have problems w/booze. And many are in the low income status.

As for what Chris said about "several grocery stores", while that is if you think 3 is "several" There is Safeway, Wal-Mart Supercenter, & Lueder's. Traveler pretty well described both towns. And I90 connects the 2, so the drive is an easy one.

The Spearfish hospital is owned by the one in Rapid, as are many of the medical clinics in the hills' area. They also own the hospitals in Deadwood & Sturgis.

From what I know of the public education system in Spearfish, it is good and the teachers try their best. Just remember that SD has the lowest teacher pay in public schools K-12 in the US. And have had that honor for many, many years. To many to count even

If Rapid is a "10 minute" city, than Spearfish is a "5-minute town." You can easily get from one side to the other in about 5 minutes.

Lueders??? When was the last time you were in Rapid City? I've lived here 19 years and we've never had a Lueder's. Do you mean Albertson's? Rapid City has 2 Safeways, 4 FTCs, Valley Market, and WalMart Supercenter for groceries.

There is a Lueders Food Center in Belle Fourche and one in Spearfish. That's the only ones I know of.
