News Personality/Anchor
I'm going to try something new here... Post a poll... It's about the news ppl we see daily.
I noticed Shawn Cable joined KSFY, after leaving KELO.
I always liked him when I watched KELO.
I really like Brian Allen, Nancy Naeve-Brown and Phil Schreck on KSFY.
But, I usually go to KELO's website for the latest local news... It seems better organized.
Any thoughts? Sorry to leave out West River... I know they have KOTA...

This was kind of a tough one. I like so many things about each of them. Jen Wahle is so little and cute and seems so timid. They're all pretty cool, BUT I had to go with Nancy Naeve. She has toned down a bit, but she is just so bubbly and happy all the time. Not sure why, but we often prefer to watch keloland news, too.

I love Nancy... When I was younger (probably 13 or 14 years old), I went on a mini-vacation with my family to Sioux Falls. We were at Falls Park, and we noticed Nancy Naeve, or we thought it was her... I ended up going over to her and said hi. We talked for a bit, and she said that she would say Hi to me on air, and gave me the day when she would do it. At that time, she was doing the early morning news, during Good Morning America. Anyways, she said hi to me during the morning news! I recorded it, and I still have the VHS somewhere... I felt kinda famous!

Oh, that is so cool and she seems like the type of person who would do that. There were several of them who were over here for the Blue and White Days Parade and when we saw her, we yelled out, "We love you, Nancy!" She turned around and gave us all a bit smile and waved. She just seems so genuine.

I met Nancy Naeve-Brown personally and she is a great person. Also, she is a USD almunus (another plus).

It's DWU's homecoming celebration. They usually have a huge picnic or BBQ or something on campus, select royalty, and have a very nice parade. It's kind of a week long celebration. The Sat. morning of that week, they have a very nice parade on Main Street.
If you like marching bands, that's the parade to go to. They even have a marching band competition (high school bands) before the parade. (Can you tell I like marching bands?) Then later they have their football game.

That sounds cool. Sounds just like "Gypsy Days" at NSU in Aberdeen.
Starting in 7th grade, I was in the marching band (trumpet) at my school and every fall we would march in the parade... It was fun. Most of the other school were much better than we were though! We never did place.
Danny, I noticed that last year, RC Stevens' marching band was in the parade... I was surprised at that. There were a few other bands that weren't from the area like Platte-Geddes, White Lake, and Arlington.

I like to head down for D-Days, or Dakota Days, in Vermillion. It is a fun time and I had the privilege of being in the parade a couple times. Lots of red and lots of pride. I have some rather vivid memories, many good and some rather funny ones.
