Yeah! New job found in Rapid City! Now, to find a home...?
YEAH! My husband has a job in Rapid City! So excited! Going ahead of the fam (me and three kiddos), he's there now - arrived yesterday... we're communicating via cell phone and I'm trying to guide him to different apartments and/or housing areas to find a 3 bedroom place. Long story short... We haven't really had the adequate time due to circumstances to secure a place and do all such things as one would hope in a planned out manner. As it was, we were seeking employment literally all over the nation at that point. Needed work, found work, went to work - LOL - and so are having to figure the rest out as we go. I'm writing to ask if anyone knows of any 3 bedroom places (apartments, houses, townhouses... ) anywhere nice/decent and in good part/s of town that may be currently or very soon available?? I can't wait to go there and us all be together again.
Any help at all hugely appreciated! Tons of thanks!

There are apartments right across the street from Valley View Elementary. The apts are 2 years old about. The surrounding neighborhood is full of homes built within the last 5 years, the school is only 3 years old.

Thank you Jammie! Praying everything goes smoothly. This has been a bit of a rough ride heading toward transition for several circumstancial reasons, but I'm so excited about Rapid City. Have read so many wonderful things about the area. Also, true to the many posts I've seen, everyone there has been super nice and helpful to us both over the phone and now to my dh (?- dear heart -? ) in person. Wonderful people! I'm on needles anxious to get there, too.
And the apprx 2 yr old aptms mentioned (not suppose to say name? if not I'll suppliment - sorry, I am still learning about the forum)... are these mentioned apts out in Rapid Valley? If so, that is precisely where my dh is looking today! Might have to squeeze into a 2BR for a few months, and be on wait list for 3BR, but that'll be great with us - he said those are sooo nice. I sure hope they do have space for us.
Thank you for writing!

Glad you're so excited. You and your family are going to end up in a very beautiful part of the country. I love the Hills, too.
You can say the names of apartments. We just can't name specific realtors for people looking for a house. You can always use DMs (direct messages) for that so you can still get the info.

Irish, Congrats and welcome to our state! I hope your move goes smoothly and I hope you can find a place to live quickly and easily.
DH means "dear husband"... Don't worry, I was confused when I saw that on a different forum a while back, so I had to look it up .

 Ahhh... okidokey.
Well, I want to say, too, that my hubby is reiterating (on phone) how NICE everyone has been to him. And, how beautiful it is there is just a wonderful bonus that he's loving. It was soooo hard for him to leave us, and I'm so grateful to everyone having been truly, truly wonderful. Things have been very hard here where we are... we weren't sure where we would end up or what was going to happen next. Now... a day at a time, but I am amazed at all of the little things that are suddenly working out regarding this place, this move. I've always said I believe - this is re-enforcing it - that where God closes a door, somewhere he opens a window.

Oh I see... Dear Husband... got it. Thankyou!
Thank you also, all of you, SO much for such warm welcomes. [Can I say I almost feel teary eyed without sounding terribly corny!? ]
Yes, I still also have a lot to learn in navigating the forum, but I love it!

I'd have to drive by them to see, but it's off of Homestead St in the Valley. There's a private outdoor pool, also.

Yes, that's exactly where he was today! I'm faxing the app back to him tomorrow and we're hoping to get to be there. He says they're really nice apts.
