Have you gone through Spearfish Canyon? That's got to be one of the most beautiful places on earth.

See, I didn't find Cosmos neat at all. Granted I took my kids who were 4 and 18 months. Maybe I need to go back now that they are 6 and 9.

I am thinking I might do that this Sunday or Monday.

The last time I visited was in 04.

raisedinrapid is on a distinguished road
some freinds and i stumbled onto a cave when we were younger, on some field we were out exploring, you had to crawl down into a space for awhile (dont ask me whos bright idea that was -lol and now looking back we r lucky we didnt find a snake waiting for us-)

it was a tight space to crawl in but once u finally got in it opened up into a huge cave and there was water like a little pond lake inside it. so beautiful!!

i wonder if anyone knows about this? supposedly it was not known it was there-so my question would be have they opened any new caves in the past 25 years? i believe it was on that road going up to sheridan lake. it was huge inside there and so beautiful. i hope it wasnt found and used for tourists, but i am curious if anyone else knows about this place?

Was it off Sheridan Lake Road? Boulder Peak has some caverns, they aren't big by any means but I guess you could call them caves. Hippie Hole has a few too.
