Lowes. Menards sometimes annoys me, but I have been able to find bargains there.
Hardware Hank, Both the one in Pierre is great. I have also enjoyed the one in Rapid when I was there.
I also like Runnings, use that for lots of stuff for clients and to keep my equipment running
I also enjoy Someone's in the Kitchen is alway fun to stop and visit.
Today I spent plenty of money at JC Pennys today.
Went to buy a battery for a remote, stopped at Radio Shack. The trained monkeys who worked there were more intersted in visiting in the back room. After about 5 minutes of standing there I left made a comment out loud... Then they tried to help me as I was already out the door. So I went to Kmart they had the battery I needed and was it 70 cents cheaper too...

rjl, you'll LOVE Home Depot. That's my favorite hardware store anyway.

Ew... Home Depot sucks. Maybe it's because I went to the one in Cheyenne and everything was overpicked and overpriced. Lowe's is much more affordable and much nicer. They treat their employees well too.

I agree that Lowes is better. My uncle works for a Home Depot in Colorado and mentions that Home Depot loses a lot of its people to Lowes and noted that there is more turmoil with Home Depot.
I have mixed opinions about Menards. Menards has some good things and is handy but I just do not like it as well as Lowes.

One thing I like better about Lowe's is that it also has a lot of stuff for home decor. Menard's has some, but Home Depot doesn't really at all.

Danny, Sioux Falls had a Safeway and Albertson's back in the early 1980s but did not go over too well there and left. What was Hy-Vee on 33rd and Minnesota, now owned by Avera McKennan and used for home-medical equipment and offices, was a Safway. Albertson's was on 41st and Kiwanis and was there until the mid 1980s and then was Randall's until 2002-2003 (when Wal-Mart turned the westside store into a supercenter) and is now subdivided into several stores (amish furniture store, Pizza Ranch, and Y's Buys).

See, in Omaha Home Depot is the place to shop. Not Lowes. In Omaha Lowes is more expensive and the atmosphere is less friendly. I guess it depends on the community.

Nearly every Saturday, you could find me in Hy-Vee, Target and Walgreens. Once you *learn how to shop Walgreens*, you'll never pay full price again for health and beauty items. I only step inside a Walmart when it's absolutely necessary, which isn't often. If you're looking for an awesome selection of candy, you must visit the "Custer County Candy Company" in Custer. YUMMMMM!

I forgot about Walgreens. I usually go there to develop my pictures or if to get over the counter medicine, especially when my allergies flare up (which they did this spring due to the it being damp, probably a mold allergy). Walgreens is handy. When I was in Vegas last summer, Walgreens on the strip was handy to go in and get a few postcards and to get a reasonably-priced beverage.
I can remember when I was six years old or so of Walgreens being in the Western Mall, where Champps is now and was next to the 1/2 Price Store (which is where Scheels is now, 1/2 Price Store became Gordmans and moved to its spot near the Empire Mall).
Snowbunny76, those are good choices. I like shopping at Target and would like to see them get going on the eastside SuperTarget. From my understanding is that they were supposed to start either this fall or next spring sometime. Hy-Vee is my favorite place to buy groceries in Sioux Falls.

Oooh! I've been to that Walgreen's and the one at the Fremont Experience! I like to get postcards of tee-shirts at Walgreen's whenever I'm away from home. Chris, where did you stay in Las Vegas?
