Is Mitchell pet-friendly? (apartments, for rent, house)

Hello, everyone! This is my first post here. I tried to find this information elsewhere but was unsuccessful. My husband and I are thinking about moving to the Mitchell area, but I am a bit concerned b/c it looks like all the apartments in the area say "no pets allowed." This is really strange to me b/c where we live, pretty much everywhere accepts pets. We are not in a position to buy a house right now, and there is no way we would leave our animals behind. We have a de-clawed cat and a very small dog (less than 10 pounds). Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks so much!!

Have you checked the ads in the Daily Republic? That's the local newspaper and they have several apartments for rent. You're right~some do not allow pets, but many of them do.

I wouldn't live here if there weren't pet lovers here.
