I'm sorry but Stephanie should have beaten out Sarah Palin, Stephanie is much prettier than Sarah Palin will ever be. Put Sarah in slot 9 and Give Stephanie Slot 2

I second that and she is a good respresentative for our great state. She gets my vote.
Since these posts are nearly a year old, anyway: Yes, beautiful, but not "cute," as mentioned in the video (misused adj.-please look in Webster), but my question: When I lived in RC no one could tell me what a "representative at-large" is--I mean, I know she's a Dem. (maybe that's a dirty word), but does she have that 'label' just too keep 'all' red stater's happy? I'd love to see Stephanie as our next Governor--I think she'd open up and show her true colors. Thanks.

"Our" next governor? Um you are not a South Dakotan... Frankly you can have her.
The whole washington scene where they spending was bad with GW Bush it is worse with the present administration. That is the only perceivable difference between the two administrations.

I'm pretty sure that it is just that she doesn't have a 'district'. If you see some house representatives on C-Span or something, they will show what district they are from.

South Dakota only has one representative. 'Representative at large" would be redundant. It is term that is not needed here... Thanks for trying.
I'll go along with what Leroy said cause I don't know what "at large" means either.
I do know she's a bluedog Demo and it may be good in some ways, it also means your wishy washy. Some may call it moderate or middle of the road, but with Stephanie, it's definitely wishy-washy.
She was leading the charge to provide free healthcare to people 19 and under even if they were an only child and their parents made up to 82,000 per year. Too bad she's not as supportive of the people that are above age 19. I've never voted for her and never will so we can either relocate her to Mn. or down to Texas where her husband lives.

At large is for states with more than one representative, they divide representatives into districts... Decided by the state... Then one of the representatives serves as the "at large" to cover the whole state rather than a specific districts. Again this does not apply to South Dakota... We only have one representative... Every state has two senators to serve the state.
