I know when the doctor told me I had cancer, my husband took it a lot harder than I did. But he always supported me and that helped me to be strong. I was so blessed to have a fabulous oncologist and his nurse was the best. We got to be good friends and when my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer we knew exactly who she was going to. My mother also had a positive attitude and was a survivor. She passed away in March of 2007 from a stroke. Okay, back to attitude. We have always handled bad situations with humor and laughter. My mother had a bad car wreck and broke her leg and lost a knee cap...one day as I was helping her get in the car, we were both laughing as we tried to bend her leg enough to get it in the passenger side and when my dad had his 2nd heart attack and they did an angioplasty on him, where they had to shock him approx 13 times, when they rolled him out on the way to his room, he looks at us and says, "fooled y'all again"...so I thank my family and God for helping me to be strong.

I know my family took it a lot harder than I did. I took it all in stride. I kept smiling and my humor. And I never gave up hope. Cancer is beatable.

We have several reservations in our state. Which one are you thinking about? That would make it easier for us to answer your questions.

Hi, it's been a long time...just wanted to let you know that this year instead of coming to SD, my friend and her daughter are going to visit me here in LA. We are going to drive down to New Orleans for a few days. Also plan to show them the Steel Magnolia home from the movie, Steel Magnolia's and we're going to stop at the "Myrtle's Plantation". It is a haunted house that is known as "One of America's Most Haunted Homes" and has been featured in many magazines, etc. I hope I can show them as good a time as I had in SD. I still plan to come back again. I love your state.

Hey Pierre B, have a wonderful vacation. There's nothing wrong with seeing other parts of the country, too. Sometimes it makes me happy that I live here and I can't wait to get back home. There have been a couple places that we've really enjoyed though.
