Be careful up there guys, I hope I can copy and paste these interstate camera photos:

I think this says it all:

I was reading comments on the Rapid City Journal and a guy from Hot Springs was claiming they had barely anything, is this true? I mean the storm goes south into northern Nebraska, is Hot Springs that protected?

The storm went down about as far as Hot Springs and then started to head east. Chardron, Lusk, and other parts of the sandhills just got a light dusting. Sheridan actually has sunshine today and I guess it's a fairly pleasant day in Denver.

It seems like these systems like to park on top of the Black Hills for a while.

Its just wierd, I know they haven't got as much snow. A poster put of a pic from this morning from near Valentine:
http://www.city-data.com/forum/nebra...eather-13.html

They haven't had too much snow either that or its all blown into one drift. There was some nasty pics on the cameras from near Chadron, but they are currently down. I don't envy the digging out you guys have to do.

It's cleared up now and roads aren't too bad either. I'm sure they will have the runways cleared at the airport by tomorrow morning. They said that flights cancelled today were rescheduled for tomorrow, so I'm guessing everything's back to normal for the most part.

Small towns east of Rapid City like Kadoka, Pine Ridge, and Wall won't be having school tomorrow. Larger towns like RC, Spearfish, and Hot Springs are back to normal.

I've been covering the blizzard all day, and calling utilities to see what's up.

The story will go in the paper tomorrow, but at this point it sounds like the storm knocked out electricity for at least 13,000 people across Western South Dakota. Some haven't had power since 6 p.m. Wednesday and are going through another night without power.

A guy up at Butte Electric in Newell said their office is currently powered by a generator, or they wouldn't have power either.

Thanks Danny !

Hopefully we don't get delayed. I checked in for all of our flights this morning.
We will be eating at the Firehouse early tomorrow evening or late afternoon.
